Only one time have I had reservation in Orlando in the 500+ visits that my daughter and I have made here, before I moved here.

With Walt Disney World opening hotel rooms and suites like The Art Of Animation Resort finding a vacancy at Orlando discount hotels, off Disney property has never been easier. Like finding a vacancy at our favorite Cheap Hotels in Orlando. That is unless there is a special event.

One time we were unaware of a special event and our relationship with the owner of the hotel was such that he gave up his guest room for us to stay because his hotel was full. Most people do not have relationships like that especially at a hotel.

I have been negotiating Orlando discount hotels since the 1980's, at that time the lowest sated and advertised prices for a Contemporary Resort room was $129.95 the best my memory serves! I do remember that it was over $100.00 per night! We did not have a discount car rental on that trip. We lived close enough to drive ourselves in our own car!
