Drinking for Dummies

Hello! I have been a resident of Florida for the last 7 months and have frequented CityWalk at Universal plenty of times. One of the best aspects of CityWalk is that on any given night there is a large array of activities and people to interact with. The bars at CityWalk are always filled with new drinks to try and the atmosphere is always vibrant.

One of my funniest encounters at a CityWalk bar happened at not exactly a bar. Being that I am used to only consuming alcoholic beverages inside a club, I wasn't aware it was actually legal to walk around with your open container. I found myself wanting to try different drinks at Universal CityWalk and stayed inside to finish each of them off. Apparently, only after I had been walking and complaining about not being able to take my drink with me did a bartender help me out. I was going from bar to bar at CityWalk sampling I was told by a friendly CityWalk bartender that it was alright to walk around CityWalk with it. Still cautious that maybe it was still illegal at CityWalk, I took my drink and tried to hide it by sipping in the corner so police wouldn't see me. After a few sips the same CityWalk bartender saw me and grabbed me out into the open and even gestured to a CityWalk security officer to prove I was ok drinking in the open at CityWalk. The security officer looked at me like I was crazy and asked me "What do you think is in everyone's cups at CityWalk?" and wearing a band. So, ok I admit I was being paranoid but they were good sports at CityWalk and they didn't tease me too much. I looked so silly looking over my shoulder and sneaking sips in, but moral is still...better safe then sorry!
