Animal Kingdom is not the traditional zoo. There are many animals and animals can do funny, unexpected things.

This 8-minute, 3D movie with additional effects (I'm not pulling your leg) is really amazing. You will be back to see this one. The show is hosted by Flik, the ant from the Disney Pixar film "It's a Bug's Life". Hopper, the grasshopper, is also there.

You may enter the show you may be a little creepy, and most get bug-eyed
once inside especially on learning "Insects should be our friends".
Most leave having become honorary bugs.
The show at the Tree of Life is an excellent 4-D "Bug Show". However, it is not our favorite show at Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The Broadway musical may be better, we have not seen that yet, however, this is the best Lion King show - Orlandowise!
Also, our favorite show - Festival of the Lion King - is a Broadway like show combining tribal celebration with parade pageantry. A 30 minute show featuring characters from The Lion King Movie. Preformed in an air-condition round theater with four section of stadium like seating named so that you may pick your favorite section (giraffe, elephant, lion or warthog [my favorite]).
Just outside the show is the best Ice Cream Chocolate chip cookies that come from a vendor! The ones in grocery stores from the same manufacturer, are different somehow. Maybe the Lion King Show does not start in the grocery store or at home real soon.
Restaurantosaurus is a fast-food restaurant. Its benefits allow me to snack while my daughter digs in an ancient archeological dig site in the DinoLand, U.S.A. area till her heart's content. There are almost always some other great parents to talk to while they are waiting for their children get hungry, tired or both.
The food is nothing fancy, salads, hot dogs, burgers, fries, etc. This restaurant accommodates most special dietary needs (usually advance notice is required). At the time you are making advance reservation is a good time to do this.
I do not actually know but this Orlando restaurant, may have been the inspiration or test market, or "junior partner" observation for the T-Rex Cafe at Downtown Disney Orlando (Same company that owns T-Rex Cafe also owns the Rainforest Cafe at this theme park and Bubba Gump Shrimp at another Orlando Theme Park location. It is no longer a public company in which I can invest (gone private) hm...).
What if the attraction is the dig site and Restaurantosaurus just gets the overflow? hm...
The warning sign at the entrance "You WILL get wet!" "YOU MAY GET SOAKED!" is for real.

This trip to Disney World Orlando, my daughter and I were going for the world record for riding this ride without getting off (16).
To do that, it must be a cold day in Disney World Orlando! It helps if you are staying in the nearby resort! So that you may easily go in take of the wet clothes shower and get warm!
It was cold! On our 10th
trip, the already thin crowd was thinning. I thought they may close
this ride before we make the world record. At that time I did not know
what it took to beat the current world record - we were told 16! Just
five more to go after this one.
We may a make it, I thought. We started asking the
people on the boat with us to stay so that only two or three in line
would be enough to fill the boat. That worked for four more times. Then
CLOSED. AT 14! just two away from the world record. Sigh!
Oh, at
the time this was the record coldest day (for that day) in Orlando! That
is why we decided to attempt the world record (BTW, this is not an
official world record, just a fun thing to do after you get to know the
cast member or more specifically after the cast members get to know
you.).
I suppose that Disney World Orlando is more predictable than the Orlando weather! Orlandowise, that is.
So, what is your funniest or most interesting attempt at Disney's Animal Kingdom?
Share your story with the world. It's fun to do things in the theme park. If you are world record holder see if anyone can break your record.
